​We are proud to host the inaugural WMI Global Insights Series titled “Giving Voice to Values” featuring Professor Mary C. Gentile on 5 March 2019.

Professor Gentile is Creator/Director of Giving Voice to Values (GVV) and Professor of Practice at University of Virginia Darden School of Business. A reputed thought leader in leadership and ethics, Professor Gentile also carries the following appointments and accolades:

  • ​Faculty member at Harvard Business School (1985-95) and principal architect of HBS’s Leadership, Ethics and Corporate Responsibility curriculum
  • Named one of the “Top Minds 2017” by ComplianceWeek, one of the 2015 “100 Most Influential in Business Ethics” by Ethisphere, and one of the “Top Thought Leaders in Trust: 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award Winners” by Trust Across America-Trust Around the World 2015
  • Giving Voice To Values also won the Bronze Medal in the 2017 Reimagine Education Ethical Leadership Awards and was featured in the Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, Stanford Social Innovation Review and Mckinsey Quarterly
  • Senior Advisor at the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program

The Giving Voice to Values curriculum was launched by Professor Gentile at the Aspen Institute with Yale School of Management. Widely adopted all over the world, GVV is regarded as an innovative approach to values-driven leadership development in business education and the workplace. GVV is also piloted in over 1,055 schools, companies and other organizations around the world, offering practical exercises, cases, modules, scripts and teaching plans for handling a wide range of ethical conflicts.​

In the world that we live in today where building trust is central to all business engagements, WMI believes that wealth and asset managers would need to be honed with the necessary skills and agility to handle diverse situations of ethical conflict. As a leading authority in the field, we are privileged to have Professor Mary C. Gentile share her insights and teach in-person, the GVV model she developed. We will be hosting on 5 March 2019 from 9am – 1pm. This programme is eligible for 50% FTS funding and is fully accredited by the Institute of Banking & Finance to provide 4 CACS CPD hours or 4 supplementary FA CPD hours.​
