UBS and the Wealth Management Institute announce the signing of an agreement to launch a new WMI Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Risk Management program, aimed at deepening AML competencies in the wealth management industry. The program is sponsored by UBS for 3 years and is for the benefit of the entire wealth management community.

Under the program, WMI will develop a series of technology enhanced learning modules to help industry professionals enhance their understanding of money laundering risks and mitigation measures. The training will be carefully curated to meet IBF accreditation standards and Client Advisory Competency Standards (CACS) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

WMI will also organise specialist forums featuring international thought leaders for AML policy makers and senior compliance officers, with the aim of enhancing AML frameworks within financial institutions. In addition, WMI will foster thought leadership on AML/CFT matters by commissioning research papers and case studies, and develop a Knowledge Centre microsite that will offer a digital resource repository of money laundering risks and typologies, best practice guides and relevant AML/CFT reference materials.

The program is supported by The Association of Banks in Singapore and IBF, and is also aligned to the expectations of the Monetary Authority of Singapore for the financial industry to deepen competencies in AML risk management.

More details on this program will be posted on the WMI website as they are rolled out. Please visit.sg regularly for updates.
