Mr Ng Kok Song is Chairman and Founding Partner of Singapore-based Avanda Investment Management.
For over 40 years, he was involved in the investment of Singapore’s foreign reserves, until his retirement as Group Chief Investment Officer of GIC in 2013. Before joining GIC in 1986, Mr Ng was at the Ministry of Finance (1970-71) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (1972-1986 ).
While at GIC, Mr Ng foresaw that Singapore’s success as a global hub for wealth management depended on an expanding pool of talent and experience. In 2003, he mobilised the support of Temasek Holdings, GIC, MAS and industry partners to establish WMI and served as WMI’s founding chairman until June 2017.
