Mr Kenny Lam


Kenny Lam is currently Head of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Two Sigma Asia Pacific. He previously served as Group President of Noah Holdings Limited (NYSE: Noah).

Noah is China’s largest independent wealth manager and the first one listed on New York Stock Exchange. It serves over 160,000 high net worth individuals with 1,296 relationship managers in 205 branches across 76 cities in China. Noah has handled over USD 65 billion of assets for high net worth individuals, denominated both in RMB and foreign currencies. Noah has been awarded the Best Wealth Manager in China Domestic by Asian Private Banker, as well as the Best Wealth Management Firm in High Net Worth and Best in Overseas Asset Management by Asia Money. Kenny oversees all of Noah’s managements and operations and is responsible for driving all key strategic initiatives in both China and Overseas.

Noah’s wealth management business primarily distributes onshore and offshore fixed income products, private equity products, secondary market products and insurance products; it also delivers customized financial solutions to high net worth clients. With presence in Hong Kong, Taiwan, United States and Canada, Noah’s overseas AUM has grown to over USD 2.7 billion in 2017. It also provides internet financial services, including online wealth management, micro-lending and payment processing services, etc.

Prior to Noah, Kenny was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company based in Hong Kong and was McKinsey’s Head of Private and Wealth Management Practice in Asia. For 14 years, he has led transformational programs for leading financial institutions across China, India, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan on a wide range of strategic, financial and operational topics and was McKinsey's expert on private banking and wealth management.

Kenny has also worked with governments and regulators on private banking strategy in the key offshore hubs of Asia. He was one of the key architects behind the creation of the Private Wealth Management Association in Hong Kong, having worked closely with industry practitioners. Before McKinsey, he was with American law firm Shearman & Sterling in New York and Hong Kong, counseling multinational corporations in various M&A transactions and NYSE/Nasdaq public offerings.

Kenny graduated with a MA (Honours) in Law from Oxford University and magna cum laude with a BS in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Scholar and a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. He has been frequently interviewed by global and local media, including Bloomberg, CNN and Financial Times and a featured speaker in numerous global financial conferences.​​​​​​
