Dr Aaron Low

Aaron Low is a Principal and Managing Director at Lumen Advisors, a global emerging markets hedge fund asset management firm based in San Francisco & Singapore, where he helps oversee investment strategies as well as managing the Asia operations. He is also the Managing Director of Finvese Pte Ltd, Singapore and Executive Director of WIT Capital, Hong Kong.

Aaron is currently the ​Board of Advisors of CFA Society, Singapore, as well as the Board of Directors of Guotai Junan Asset Management, Hong Kong and Board of Directors, Oakbridge Capital, Singapore. 

Previously, Aaron was the Chairman and Board of Governors of CFA Institute, USA, Board of Trustees, Government of Singapore Pension Fund Singapore, Board of Trustees, Research Foundation, USA, Head of Portfolio Management Asia (Singapore & USA) at PIMCO managing global and emerging market bonds and overseeing Asia investment strategies. Prior to PIMCO, he was Head of Fixed Income, Asia and Senior Portfolio Manager for Rosenberg Capital Management (RCM) Global Investors in San Francisco. He was also responsible for managing global balanced and fixed income portfolios and helped start RCM’s Asian institutional client desk. While at PIMCO, his investment team has won several Lipper and Morningstar investment awards for global bonds and emerging markets. He has been consistently nominated for the Asset award for Most Astute Investor from 2002-2005.

In prior years, he has also been Senior Advisors to the Harvest Fund Management Company in Beijing and Bosera Asset Management Company in Shenzhen, China. Aaron is also Adjunct Professor at the Business School at NUS, SMU and CEIBS. He has previously taught at UCLA and Stanford. He graduated with a PhD in International Financial Economics from the Anderson School, UCLA, and an honors engineering degree from NUS. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.​
